Simple blackberry and lemon sorbet

Here’s a summer recipe to cool you down and keep you refreshed during these hot months.


Even though I have very sensitive teeth and so all cold foods send my mouth into pretty awful pain, I suffer through it to enjoy the deliciousness of sorbet!

I was really keen to try a berry sorbet and since we have blackberries in the freezer from last year’s harvest I decided to use them. Also, I threw in some lemon juice for a lovely sour kick.


  • 400g frozen blackberries
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • maple syrup (optional)


  1. Blitz all the ingredients together in a powerful blender or food processor until smooth.
  2. Scoop into a pretty bowl and drizzle over some maple syrup then serve.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for about a month.
