Cheesy pasta recipe

As you may know, I posted a cashew cheese sauce recipe a few days ago and so I wanted to share with you the meals that I use it in. Today’s recipe is cheesy pasta and veg. I’ll also be posting a cheesy rice recipe soon, so look out for that! This meal is basically mac ‘n’ cheese and cauliflower cheese combined (with some broccoli thrown in there). Simple, yet delicious!


Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Total time 22 minutes


  • 300g pasta
  • 320g broccoli, chopped
  • 320g cauliflower, chopped
  • 8 tbsp cheese sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • chives, to serve


  1. Cook the pasta according to the packet’s instructions.
  2. Meanwhile, fill a pan 3/4 full with boiling water. Simmer the broccoli and cauliflower for five minutes. (Alternatively, add the veg in with the pasta part way through its cooking time, to save on washing up!)
  3. Drain the pasta and vegetables and transfer into a bowl. Stir in the cheese sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Garnish with chives and then serve.
